The Present Tenseالجملة المضارعة 

I, you, we, they      live, work, talk, dress, …أنا، هو، نحن، هم نعيش، نعمل، نتكلم، نلبس

He, she, it              lives, works, talks, dresses, …هو، هي يلبس او تلبس يتكلم أو تتكلم

To make the present tense with: He/She/It.حتى نحول الفعل الى الحالة المضارعة مع

1.     With most verbs add S to the verb, example: like-likes  work-works.

لبعض الأفعال نزيد عليها حرف s .

2.     Add ES with verbs ending: للأفعال التي تنتهي بـ esمنزيد 

·        Ch     watch:راقب   watches

·        Ss      loss:   خسر    losses

·        Sh      wash: يغسل   washes

·        X       mix:   يمزج   mixes

·        O       do:     يفعل    does

3 . With verbs ending in –y after a consonant, take off the “y” and add “ies” example: Try: tries                   hurry: hurries         fly: flies.

الأفعال التي تنتهي بحرف y وقبلها حرف ساكن نحذف حرف y ثم نزيد عليها ies.

Do or Does

          Affirmative: I, you, they do

He, she, it does

Negative: I, you, they do not (don’t)

He, she, it does not (doesn’t)

Interrogative: Do (I, you, they) …?

Does (he, she, it) …?
